You freely admit that it would not have mattered at all what the next word in local was, you were keyed and ready. If a sudden issue had come up right at the end and the GM had said 'hold', by your own statement you'd have gone anyway.
Excitement is understandable, but an FC has to be able to put that aside to do their job by paying attention to what is going on. Pure and simple.
An understandable and forgivable mistake. But still a mistake, and not one made by CCP. Best of luck in the next round, I'm sure your boys and girls will be out for blood :)
It happenend 100 percent of the time before us and it would of happenend after us. However CCP Claw made changes the fix a problem that was never admitted to be a problem. Odd. We did not know that was a countdown for a fight ending and we didnt even know another fight was still going on. FCs need to be agressive and I know a majority of these no name alliance FCs stumble and cost them points. There shouldnt be bad mechanics in a tournament to prevent a FC frome being agressive. My thought was end of a count down. Silly, yes but so is CCP.
These "no name" alliances as you put it, has nothing to do with the quality of FC's that are actually in the tourney, also think about if the bigger alliances didnt have there 1500 - 5000 members would they hold the sov they do now? quantity will always win now with the constant blob warfare being used, the real alliances are those scraping a living out in npc 0.0 space fighting just for the fun |
